What a week! Here's the brief rundown of the events that were.
  • Monday- An exciting field trip to the ER.
  • Tuesday- Follow-up doctors appt for Krista.
  • Wednesday- Krista had surgery.
  • Thursday- Krista's mom, Deana arrived in town.
  • Friday- Hawaiian shirt day.
  • Saturday- Krista came home from the hospital.
  • Sunday- Deana departs for Phoenix just in time as a spring storm drops almost 7 inches of snow in Billings.
Anyhow... Krista is recovering quite well. She is not to lift anything over 15lbs for the next 6 weeks... and that is going to be a difficult task in a week or two when she feels better and wants to pick the girls up.

Here are a few photos from our trip to Zoo Montana when the temperatures were more springlike. These were taken at the petting zoo, unfortunately we failed to get any good photos of the Siberian Tiger, Grizzly Bear, Red Pandas, Huffalumps or other interesting animals... nor were we allowed to feed them (BUMMER!)

Here's Madison making friends with a horse.

Then Madison decided to feed the goats with mommy.

Zoie and Audrey were not too impressed with the ground level view of the horses.

Poor Krista!

Just a quick post to update everyone on Krista's condition. For those who say "what condition" I say here's the Reader's Digest version.
Krista had severe stomach/lower abdomen cramps on Monday. It was to the point that she couldn't stand or walk and she was in tears, so off to the ER we go. After blood work, an ultrasound and a cat scan they were no closer to a prognosis. She had an elevated white blood cell count, but her appendix was ok, and the two ovarian cysts were up to 4cm but really not big enough to cause this amount of pain. She had a follow up visit the next day and they scheduled the surgery for today (03/25). The surgery was initially a laparoscopy with a possible oophorectomy, or a possible hysterectomy; depending on what they found. Krista went in around 1pm and was in recovery by 4pm. The doctor said that they went ahead with a full hysterectomy after finding an "extreme" case of endometriosis. The ovary was tucked in behind the uterus and was "stuck" to the large intestine and aggravating the outer lining of the stomach, causing some fluid to leak, which explained the elevated white blood cell count and the pain.
Tonight Krista is resting somewhat comfortably at the Billings Clinic 1-800-332-7156 (room 206) and it is likely that she will be there until Saturday.

Best Seat in the House

On March 18 a cute little girl set off to discover something new and exciting. When she found it, she had to stop, sit back, and enjoy the moment. Little did she know that she wouldn't be able to keep this discovery all to herself for long for there were two other cute little girls hot on her trail.

Girls Playing March 14

Just hanging out downstairs after breakfast and
they were just being so cute, had to take some photos.

Then I pondered if I could take these consecutive photos
and make a short movie, and low and behold I can.

So now you can see more pictures at one time.

Lion Go Round

Aunt Carrie and Aunt Liane bought the girls a toy that they could learn to walk with, which happens to look like a lion. The girls absolutely love it. Sometimes they take turns, sometimes they fight, but no matter what they all love it in the end.

Daddy was pushing Madison around the upstairs and when he got tired, we tried to get Zoie to push Madison. Well she wouldn't, so we were just standing around laughing then next thing we know little Audrey is pushing Madison.

Feeding Frenzy

It was close to bed time and the girls hadn't eaten well all day (hence they were sick and who likes to eat when you're sick). So after bath time, daddy was laying on the floor and playing with the girls and tried to get them to eat cereal. Oh and what a cute show it was.

Here is a little blip from that night.

Play Time

The other day I came down and this is what I saw. My little Audrey in a red cookie tin. Can you believe she is already talking on the phone. Oh well, I guess I better get prepared now for those cell phone bills.
