Schedule Update

Some of you may have been aware that at Scott's work they have a new manager and he is planning on going to permanent schedules. He is going to wait til the first of the to create it, but made everyone stay on their current shift until the permanent change. Scott was on graveyards (not so much fun). But apparently a guy from the morning shift has worn out its welcome and has been moved to nights and someone needed to take his shift. And amazingly enough Scott was asked, and of course he said yes. So yeah for us. And hopefully, when the perm shifts come out this is what he gets. Here's to hoping.

Anyways, the girls are starting to learn more words. They really like to make animal sounds and sounds in general. They had a growth spurt in the last week. I swear the jeans that they had on last week which I had rolled up I didn't have to this week. Dang that whole growing thing. Well, here are some pictures for your pleasure. I don't have time to post to many, I'll try to get them in the next couple days or I'll have Scott do it.

Pictures from November 1

The girls learned to climb a tree today.
Can you believe I got all three looking at me. I just love this picture.

This has become their snack corner. There was a box of wipes there for a week or so that I finally got around to putting away. But while the box was there they would sit on it and have their snacks. So now they just sit on the floor and enjoy their tasty snack. Kids are so funny.

The trick-or-treat pumpkins have become book carriers. One is even at Grammy's house along with some of the books that were in it.

Pictures from November 2

Pictures from the MOMC play date. It was at one of the mom's houses. What a beautiful house it was. The girls really liked the flinstone style cars. They are made for one kid, but Audrey and Madison were able to squeeze in there together.

Madison managed to put herself in the walker.

Pictures from November 3

Audrey found a bolt and was on her way to play the poles in the driveway.

Audrey and Madison do this quite often when we go to the hill. The go to the farther side and just sit side by side. I'm not sure what their discussing, but so far nothing bad has come from their little pow-wows.

While taking this picture of Zoie, I thought that I would take some pictures of what is technically the front yard since it faces the street. There is a lot of yard to content with. Not sure what we'll do with it, but we have til spring to decide.

Madison playing in the doorway to the garage (wood shop really).

Girls dancing on the door mats.

Okay one last surprise. We've been thinking about it and looked several times at the shelter and the last time we went, well we found the dog. She is so cute. Not sure what she is, they said Aussi/Husky, but we think Aussi/something in the Grey Hound family. She is skinny, has long legs and long snout, but the colors of a Aussi/Kelpie so who knows. We were able to bring her home today. So far so good. We named her Pepper and she seems to like it. She already comes to the name when we call her. They said she is about 1 yr old, but we think probably closer to 8 months or so. But hard to tell.

Meet Pepper, the newest member to the Weston family.

Days Leading up to Halloween

What a fun few days. The weather has been good/bad/good/bad/good, etc. Sometimes it looks bad, but you go outside and it is absolutely wonderful.

Wednesday, just hung around the house. To cold to go outside, I had made something new in the crock pot. Pork Cassoulet (or something like that) for dinner, for the girls I run it through the food processor to grind it up. Zoie and hers, Audrey played with hers and Madison ate some of it. We had hot dogs to top off dinner.

Thursday we went to the MOMC play date. That was fun, not to many kids though. Several people stayed home just to be on the safe side, their kids had runny noses & coughs. Then we came home took a nap then went to Grammy's. But Grammy wasn't home, but the girls played outside a little then we went upstairs and hung out with Grampy. I don't know who had more fun them or him.

Friday we just hung around the house, the temp was in the high 50's but the wind was blowing hard and cold, so we stayed inside. No pics from Friday (I just don't think about it while we are inside). The girls have taken to reading. They love books, so Friday night I ran to the Rescue Mission and picked up 25 books for $8.50 - who can beat that! Put them on the shelf and it was like Christmas morning on Saturday.

Saturday, HALLOWEEN! We got up and in normal clothes, ate breakfast, went outside to play, came in to eat lunch, took our nap and then the craziness began. I woke them and daddy up at 2:30 PM. Got the girls undressed and redressed in their costumes. Layers - Onesie, tights, socks, dress and boots. That way they would be warm enough not to wear a jacket. It turns out the weather got better. It was in the high 60's and sunny. I was just in a t-shirt. We went to Zoo Montana for "Boo at the Zoo". There were a several places through out the zoo that handed out treats, but the girls had the most fun looking at the animals, running down the paths, and playing on the playground. After that we went home grabbed dinner, went back into town to fill Scott's perscription, and then went trick-or-treating at a retirement home. Figured we would bring smiles to some of their faces. I think we were a hit. Several asked us to come back next year. Of course we had to come back and go to Aunt Debbies and Grammy's for trick-or-treating. (Okay it was to show of the costumes.)

We hope that everyone had a safe and wonderful Halloween.
