Earrings

One day while playing outside Madison asked for earrings. It was like the third time in a week she had asked for them. So I remembered that I had some of my Grandma Geri's jewelry and new there were some clip on earrings in it. So I went and grabbed them, lucky enough there were three pair. The funny thing was Madison was the only one who didn't want to wear them for more than a few seconds. Zoie and Audrey didn't want to give them up, but at nap time we were able to put them away.

First Attempt at Fishing Trip

One day Scott decided he wanted to go fishing so we bought a couple things like a fishing license, fishing pole for girls, and cheap sunglasses. Sunday morning the girls were ecstatic to put their new sunglasses on.

Then on a Sunday we decided to head out to a lake. Well on our way out of town we were running late as usual so we decided to stop by McDonald's to get chicken nuggets and apples for girls. Well across the street was some miniature horses and they were offering free rides. So of course we had to stop.

Zoie was the only one who would ride though. She didn't want to get off. And if you ask her if she wants a pony or horse the answer is YES! Then we loaded back into the car and off to the lake.

So we drove by the first lake "Cooney Lake" and it was full. No where to pull off and set up a little area, so we drove on to another lake. We ended up at West Rosebud Lake, which wasn't the lake he was thinking of. This one has become a private lake with houses built around the only lake side property. So in the car we go and drive around a little bit and find a nice little area that we found near the creek. There we set up the chairs got on their swimsuits and had a good time.

Unfortunately we weren't able to stay too long. We had just got done eating our dinner and a storm started to roll in. So we loaded everyone and everything back into the car and headed home. The girls seemed to enjoy it, even though they spent more time in the car than playing.

The worst part about the trip was on the way home, Zoie decided to get sick and throw up. This was our first experience with that in the car. Needless to say I didn't really enjoy it. Good thing I put our car seat covers in the washing machine otherwise I'm sure it is quite painful to clean up. These were taken after the vomiting accident that's why Zoie is in a dress and not her swimsuit. Put she seems to be no worse for the wear.

More Pics from June

I never knew how busy summers could be. It seems as though I blink and a month has passed. Here are the pictures that I had picked out to post from June.

June 3 - Purchased this table from our Mom's of Multiples Garage Sale for $10.00. This was our first meal at the table. The girls just absolutely love the table. Not sure whether they like to sit and eat on it or color the table the best.

June 7 - Went to wake the girls up from their nap and this is what I found. Everyone was snuggling in Audrey's bed.

Baxter usually helps me wake up the girls. He gives them kisses and squeaks at them.

This time he decided that taking a nap looked like a good idea though.

June 11 - Madison playing in the morning. She had her back pack, baby and stroller and they were headed to the Y.

June 12 - A passer by offered to take our picture when we arrived at the Strawberry Festival in downtown Billings. I think this is one of the few pictures with all of us in it. The day was perfect and we even got a piece of the giant strawberry shortcake they make. The girls tried chocolate covered strawberries. I think they like the chocolate better than the strawberry though.

June 19 - Decided to go to the zoo. The weather was nice and just wanted to get out and do something other than hang out at home.

Audrey our little bear.

June 23 - Mowing the grassy part of the back yard. I'll have to admit I stole the idea from Nathen & Terra. I was mowing and the girls asked it they could help and I remember seeing a picture of Nathen and Ethen mowing the lawn and figured we could try. Audrey was the first to go, but Scott wasn't around to take picture. By the time he got the camera the girls had switched. I think I had to stop to change a dirty diaper then Scott took over and Madison helped him.

June 24 - Erma, Danielle and MacKenzie came over for a swim play date at our house. We bought a new pool and the girls just love it. It came with the slide and you hook up the hose to the giraffe's head and it sprays water.

June 27 - Symphony in the Park. This is an annual event the Billings Symphony and some other groups perform on a Sunday afternoon in Pioneer Park. We went last year so decided to go again this year. The girls love it. They get to run around, dance to music and hang out with mommy, daddy and grammy. This year our neighbors Dwight and Debby went too. Bret and Janet always go, but they go with their friends from the symphony, but always stop by and chat for awhile.

June 28 - I needed to clean my bedroom, so in order to do that the girls get to come in and play while I clean. They love playing with my shoes. It makes more work in the end, but makes for happy kids and that is much more important.

I always put all the stuff from the dressers, night stands, etc. on the bed while I dust and Audrey got a hold of my porcelain doll. She didn't want to let it go. I finally convinced her, but this was the best picture.
