Halloween!

Make him wear a pumpkin patch!

We took a trip to Red Lodge to visit the Nature Center (Lynx, Lamas and Bears, oh my!). It was fun, not exactly the Cincinnati Zoo, but it was fun. The animals are mainly wild critters that were injured or sick. We got to see a bear making its hibernation den. The wolves, foxes, and a bobcat were all pretty active and running around. Afterwards we had lunch and drove up the road to Hell Roaring Plateau. We stopped about half-way up and played in the clouds.
Timber sprites.

Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads!

Emerging from the clouds.

Back to the stream
A breathtaking view, even when the visibility is low.

Say: "DADDY DON"T THROW ME IN THE WATER!"

Now a montage of Halloween-time photos: The girls had a short program at their Preschool along with Trunk-or-Treating and pumpkin decorating. Then Saturday they went to a local Assisted Living facility with the Mom's of Multiples group to do reciprocating treating. The girls handed out Krista's homemade Oatmeal/Cranberry cookies and got some candy and smiles in return.

Zoie's pumpkin with beady eyes and a big smile.

Madison has chosen the big eyes and Mona Lisa-esque smile.

Audrey went all out on hers.

Fall into Autumn

Have you ever notice how groups of lions tend to move on just before autumn?
Of course; pride goeth before the fall.

Thanks for coming, I'll be here all week, you're too kind!

Here are a smattering of photos over the course of the past month or so. I warn you some of them are "dirty"... viewer discretion advised. TCFW (Too Cute For Work).

Walnut box from Costco = loveseat
Like 2 peas in a walnut box.

On one of the last days that felt like summer at Grammy and Grampy's house, we ate apples from the apple trees, picked flowers and thoroughly covered the driveway in pastel chalk.
Audrey in mid hopscotch.

We raided the garden!
Looks like they're ready to make pizza!

Baxter and Zer0 are feeling a little left out on the blog...
Hey! Remember us?

Krista put the vegetables from the garden to good use... spaghetti! Grammy and Grampy came over for dinner much to the delight of the girls.
Audrey must have had something important so say.

Madison was pretty proud of herself when she stole Grampy's cane.

Then she grabbed a blanket, then told Grampy and Grammy to sit on either end so she could have a hammock.

Now come the "dirty" pictures. Krista was marking a spot to make our garden for next spring and the girls decided to water a patch of dirt...
It's like a Montucky spa!

MUD!!!

Add some leaves and now we're trees

Now with the spot all marked off, time to till. Our little dainty children wouldn't have anything to do with freshly tilled dirt. Yeah right...
When planting kids you have to make sure the soil is nice and soft.

Tillin, tillin, tillin...
I think the girls are mocking me.

Zer0 wants us to plant chickens.

The commute car ('88 Dodge Aries) has had some "technical difficulties" I've replaced the valve seals, timing belt, etc... but it looks like the rings might be gone. In a last ditch effort to save the K-Car Audrey and I broke out the heavy equipment.
We have our game face on
Now we wrap up this batch of fun with a couple photos from the kitchen. Madison got into the markers and added a little color to her nose. Another morning it was time to make pancakes with daddy.
Clowning around

PANCAKES!!!
