Take me out to the Ballgame... Denver edition.

Upon looking at the Diamondbacks schedule earlier this year, we determined if we were going to catch a game, an afternoon contest against the Rockies in Denver would be the way to go. We packed up the car and headed down to Denver on 5/16; after 8.5 hours in the car we arrived at our hotel in Downtown Denver and settled in for the night. Day 2 we cruised up to the ballpark and watched the Diamondbacks beat the Rockies! The girls had a blast and we bounced between our seats, the playground and the (t-ball) batting cages. Coors field is a really nice venue to watch a game and the staff couldn't have been more hospitable. The fans were also really pleasant, even with us all decked out in our Sedona Red. A concession vendor walked by with a slushy drink with 3 straws in it and asked if the girls could have it. The mascot "Dinger" autographed a trading card for them... he initially turned away from me in my D-Backs jersey but decided to let us have a picture with him. Madison wasn't impressed at the time but later when we were leaving, she was the 1st to ask where he was. I'll get some pictures from "day 3" our trip to the Denver Children's Museum, posted up here in a few days.

This was about 2230 on the night we arrived... late nights were to be a theme of this mini-vacation.

The invasion has begun!

Time to go inside and see a ballgame.

The playground area kept the kiddo's occupied in between watching the game.

Madison playing.

Audrey hanging out.

Dinger letting us torment him.

Cotton Candy? Yes please.

NOMS!

Zoie getting some practice swings in just in case the D-Backs needed some offensive help.

She was making pretty good contact with the ball.

The D-Backs hat makes this look GOOD!

Madison gives it a try.

Mommy too!

Zoie dressed it out pretty well.

We sat in the outfield, but cruised around the concourse and checked out the action a bit closer to the dish.

One of the Ballpark staff told us she needed to take our picture.

More playground time.

Spinning!

Springtime odds and ends

Here's a brief compilation of activities in and around the Weston house for the past month.

1 Cardboard box holds more entertainment value than all of ToysRus.

Baxter models the girls sunglasses.

Rush got the makeover treatment as well.

Speaking of makeovers... this is all the rage, getting smurfed.

Audrey later looked in the mirror and said "I look fabulous!"

Madison was rather proud of her homemade makeup (sidewalk chalk/water)

Zoie was almost blue from head to toe.

Cookies and Cowgirls

NOMS!
Getting ready for school.
Halloween 2009 at the Zoo
Nothing spectacular to report... I made chocolate chip cookies the other night, so the girls got a warm cookie and a glass of milk before bedtime.

Today was Western Day at their Pre-School so Krista checked to see if they could still wear their Western-style Halloween dresses that she made for them in 2009. Sure enough, today they doubled as long shirts!

The Westonism of the moment is Yesteryears.

Definition of YESTERYEARS
