We were barely into Fall when Casper received it's first measurable snowfall on October 2nd. The last snowfall occurred on Mother's day, May 11th. That's right, 144 days between snowfalls... We made the most of our summer and had a blast. After the early October snow, the weather quickly rebounded and we are having a very pleasant Autumn.
In August, Krista and I attended my 20th class reunion at Billings West High. It was excellent to catch up with my classmates and to reestablish friendships that had been forgotten. Contrast that with Audrey, Madison and Zoie starting 1st grade at Verda James Elementary on Sept 2nd. On the 2nd or 3rd day I asked them if they liked being back in school. I heard a voice from the backseat say "No." Just about when I was about to ask why, they all yelled "WE LOVE IT!!" They have continued to love school and we couldn't be happier with the quality of education they are getting here. Krista volunteers quite a bit of time up at the school and helps out a lot in the classrooms. The kids joined Girl Scouts over the summer. They meet up at Verda James after school on Wednesdays. They also were picked to take part in the First Lego League (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/fll) which also takes place at Verda James after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So they have a plethora of activity without a plenitude of travel time!
All is well here, and we hope the same for you!
Until next time,
-SKAMZ
